Brian’s expertise includes work in the military and private sectors in incident response, digital forensics, vulnerability management, and security architecture consulting.
Prior to leading the red team for Splunk Global Security, Brian led SOAR efforts with Splunk Phantom at a Fortune 100 financial company, working on red, blue, and purple teams. Brian has presented at DEFCON AI Village, CAMLIS, Derby Con, Circle City Con, Cyphercon, and ISACA, and served as adjunct faculty at WSU and MATC.
Brian holds an MBA from Augusta University, an MS in IT Management from Oakland University, a BS in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. He also carries the following industry certifications: CISSP, GREM, GCIH, GCFA, GNFA.

Brian enjoys cooking, reading, learning foreign languages, playing classical guitar, and traveling with his wife and daughters.
